Guide: How to Find Sea Creatures in Denmark
It is pretty great to have spent thousands on snorkeling sets for the entire family, only to go to the beach and look down at the sandy bottom ðŸ«
That is why we hope this guide can help you get more out of snorkeling on Denmark’s beaches. If there is one thing you should take away from here, it is that snorkeling in Denmark requires patience, a slow pace, and an awareness of currents.
Feel free to use FCOO before you jump in the water. Here, you can keep an eye on current and weather conditions, enabling you to plan your snorkeling trip better and choose the right time to enter the water.

What Do You Need for Your Snorkeling Trip?
It goes without saying that a good mask, a functional snorkel, and your favorite swimwear are a great place to start. With us, you can assemble your snorkeling equipment in three different ways.
The easiest solution is a complete snorkeling set with both a mask and snorkel – and in some cases, also fins. You can also choose a mask and snorkel separately from our range. This gives you greater freedom to find the combination that suits you best, and especially in terms of the mask, the quality is often higher.
The third option is a so-called full-face snorkel mask like Ocean Reef Aria QR. This allows you to avoid having a snorkel in your mouth, provides a wide field of vision, and offers a slightly different snorkeling experience compared to a traditional mask and snorkel.

Snorkel Fins
After the mask and snorkel, a good pair of fins is one of the most important pieces of equipment. They help you maneuver in the current, conserve energy, and move more easily when swimming long distances or spending extended time in the water. Fins significantly affect how efficiently and effortlessly you move through the water.
However, there are various types of snorkel fins. Some are developed for maximum propulsion, while others focus more on efficiency and protecting the knees and legs. Of course, there are also models that aim to strike a good balance between the two.
The first type is similar to our FUGA fin and is probably the classic model most people imagine when they think of swim fins. The blade is relatively long and consists of two different materials. When you kick, the blade forms a channel that directs the water backward. This provides good speed and control but typically requires a bit more effort compared to the more energy-efficient models.
The second type of fin is similar to the Scubapro GO Travel. Here, the fin blade is shorter, slightly wider, and slightly angled. This design reduces lateral movement when kicking the fin through the water, making the stroke more stable.
This also means that less energy is wasted during the process. The force from the hips and thighs is more directly transferred to the fin, providing efficient and controlled propulsion and typically a more comfortable strain on the knees.
